That’s actually not an easy question to answer (and I’m not a doctor, so please don’t ask me how much water  you should be drinking). So many factors affect our needs from what we eat to the weather. Obviously there are times when more water is appropriate, like after/before intense exercise or if you are in extreme heat. In other words: If you body is losing water (like sweating), then replenishing those fluids is essential. .. But unless you are an extreme athlete or spend a lot of time in a hot climates you probably need less than what you’ve been previously told.

- BAC : Significant impairment of motor coordination and loss of good judgment. Speech may be slurred; balance, vision, reaction time and hearing will be impaired. Euphoria.

- BAC : Gross motor impairment and lack of physical control. Blurred vision and major loss of balance. Euphoria is reduced and dysphoria (anxiety, restlessness) is beginning to appear. Judgment and perception are severely impaired.

- BAC : Dysphoria predominates, nausea may appear. The drinker has the appearance of a "sloppy drunk."

BAC : Felling dazed, confused or otherwise disoriented. May need help to stand or walk. If you injure yourself you may not feel the pain. Some people experience nausea and vomiting at this level. The gag reflex is impaired and you can choke if you do vomit. Blackouts are likely at this level so you may not remember what has happened.

BAC : All mental, physical and sensory functions are severely impaired. Increased risk of asphyxiation from choking on vomit and of seriously injuring yourself by falls or other accidents.

BAC : STUPOR. You have little comprehension of where you are. You may pass out suddenly and be difficult to awaken.

BAC: Coma is possible. This is the level of surgical anesthesia.

BAC and up : Onset of coma, and possible death due to
respiratory arrest.

At the onset of this condition, fluid outside the cells has an excessively low amount of solutes, such as sodium ( hyponatremia ) and other electrolytes , in comparison to fluid inside the cells, causing the fluid to move into the cells to balance its concentration. This causes the cells to swell. In the brain, this swelling increases intracranial pressure (ICP), which leads to the first observable symptoms of water intoxication: headache, personality changes, changes in behavior, confusion, irritability, and drowsiness. These are sometimes followed by difficulty breathing during exertion, muscle weakness & pain, twitching, or cramping, nausea, vomiting, thirst, and a dulled ability to perceive and interpret sensory information. As the condition persists, papillary and vital signs may result including bradycardia and widened pulse pressure . The cells in the brain may swell to the point where blood flow is interrupted resulting in cerebral edema . Swollen brain cells may also apply pressure to the brain stem causing central nervous system dysfunction. Both cerebral edema and interference with the central nervous system are dangerous and could result in seizures, brain damage, coma or death. [11]

Histamine is only detectable by analysis and the sensory characteristics of affected fish may appear satisfactory. Testing by chemical methods such as HPLC, or by ELISA and other immunological techniques can provide some assurance that toxic levels of histamine are not present, but the variability in histamine levels in a single fish mean that very large numbers of samples must be taken. For this reason, chemical testing cannot be relied upon to demonstrate adequate control of the hazard, but can be useful as a HACCP verification tool. Rapid ‘dipstick’ type methods have been developed recently and may be valuable screening tests for fish processors.
